I am looking at buying the new 2014 Nissan Versa Note and I have heard a lot of mixed reviews.  What is your take on the vehicle, specifically on maintenance and repairs? (Liz – Plymouth)

The car is too new for me to have full knowledge of it.  It seems to be a nice car for the person who wants the basic car on a budget.  However, one thing to think about is the maintenance costs.  According to Cars.com, the cost to own this car for 5 years is around 30,000!   That’s really high for this type of car.  Maintenance costs in year 3 alone are expected to be $1900!  A little rich for me. Because of the high maintenance costs, I might look elsewhere.  Want to discuss?  Call me at the shop at any time – 734-414-3195.

How often do I need to change the oil in my car?

Cars and oils are better today than they gave ever been.  That said most car manufacturers request you change your oil every 5,000 miles. To be sure check your owners manual or stop by and we can help you.

My dad says I need to rotate my tires every time I get my oil changed, is this true?

Every time is overkill, we suggest you rotate them every 8-12,000 miles.  This and checking your air pressure often will insure you get the most out of your tire investment.

I am a stay at home mom, with a small child.  It is hard for me for me to get my car in for service.   Do you have a waiting area at the new location?

We do have a large waiting area that could work great for you, but if you like we could save you the hassle and pick the car up for you.  Nothing beats waiting in you own house with kids.  Give us a call and we would love to help.

I have a remote start that would like to switch to a new car, can I do that?

It depends.   Remote starts have come long way in the past few years!  If your remote start system is less that five years old than most likely you can.   If we can not, you may be surprised how affordable a new system is.
